"I fell in love with Montenegro upon my first visit in 2006, shortly after the country had gained its independence. With its stunning coastline, towering mountains, calm reflective lakes and national parks, Montenegro is beyond rewarding.

I had booked into a guest house in the town of Budva and went out for the day on a scooter, heading south along the coast. All of a sudden a stunning fortified island oasis connected slightly to land, Sveti Stefan, came into view. The inviting turquoise water added to the beauty and was the perfect contrast to the roofs and beach. I really felt like I was somewhere special. Of course I proceeded to take a refreshing dip; I’m sure you would do the same!"
